Long Barrel is an attachment that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The Long Barrel increases the range of a weapon by 16%, therefore the longer the initial range is of a gun, the longer the maximum range will be. The long barrel is available to submachine guns, shotguns and pistols.
Trivia
- The only weapons to actually change appearance cosmetically when outfitted with the Long Barrel are the Executioner and the Olympia.
- The Long Barrel doesn't actually increase the damage inflicted despite the stat increase, rather it increases the distance of the damage drop-off by increasing the range.
- Raul Menendez's Executioner in "Odysseus" has a long barrel, while in "Achilles' Veil", it has a standard barrel.
- The Long Barrel is comparable by the Range Proficiency in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
