For the similarly designated SMG, see M3 Grease Gun.

The M3 Half-Track is an armored vehicle used by the US, British Commonwealth and other allies during World War II. The M3 was designed as a vehicle that would be easily steered and maneuvered, like a wheeled vehicle, but having the same off-road capabilities as a tracked vehicle.

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One[]

The M3 Half-Track is only seen Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. Although they can not be driven by the player, there is a segment of the mission in which the player uses an AA gun mounted on top of the half-track to shoot down enemy planes. In another mission, player will get a chance to fight an enemy tank-attack by using the AT gun situated on top of the M3 Half-track. Also, in the mission following the prologue, the player is given the opportunity to operate a machine gun, after the actual MG-gunner is shot. So far, M3 Halftracks were exclusively featured in this game, probably due to the fact it strictly concentrates on American involvement in war.

Call of Duty: WWII[]

The M3 Half-Track appears in most levels of the campaign of Call of Duty: WWII. It is mounted with a Flakvierling while being used in battles.
