The subject of this article appears in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

"Bolt action railgun. Best in class handling."
— In-game description.

The MORS is a single-shot sniper rifle featured in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Campaign

The MORS is the most common sniper rifle in the campaign. Despite this, it is still quite rare. It can be found in the missions Fission, Aftermath, Crash, Bio Lab, Collapse, and Armada. It is a one-shot kill on most enemies and usually comes with a fair amount of ammo, but additional ammo is very rare; resupply crates are useful in this case. In Collapse and Armada, it is also seen held by Sentinel soldiers from helicopters.

The variant obtained in "Crash" is unique in that it is magazine-fed and semi-automatic (but with a lower rate of fire than the standard single-shot MORS), with a capacity of 10 rounds. It also fires explosive rounds and has a unique bullet trail effect when fired.

Multiplayer

Unlocked at level 8, the MORS is a single-shot bolt-action rail-gun that uses electromagnetism to fire a projectile at blistering speeds, making it very accurate.

The MORS is a very strong sniper rifle, often resulting in one-shot kills regardless of range. However, this is offset by the weapon's Rate of Fire as the MORS must be reloaded after every shot. The reload is quick, about as fast as regular bolt-action in other sniper rifles, but the MORS has a distinct advantage over them in the sense that magazine size is a negligible factor; there is no need for extra reloading every few shots. The MORS is favorable with handling characteristics, as there is minimal sway with the weapon, and the scope has a clean reticle. The MORS also cannot be Speed Reloaded, as it is a single-shot weapon.
