The Maelstrom is a bullpup fully-automatic shotgun featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It was added on December 5th, 2024 as part of the Season One Reloaded update.
Overview[]
The Maelstrom was added during Season One Reloaded as the completion reward from the Merry Mayhem event. After the end of the event, it was added to the Armory, where it can be unlocked after earning a total of 250,000 XP with the weapon selected.

Zombies[]
The Maelstrom has no Wall Buy locations, however it can be found in any map and in the majority of rarities via the Mystery Box for 950 Essence or one can be brought as the starting weapon via the Loadout system, but at Common rarity.
When upgraded either by the Pack-a-Punch Machine or via Aetherium Crystals, it becomes the Tenderizer. The Tenderizer gains increased damage, a doubled magazine capacity and an increased reserve capacity of 240. Uniquely, the Tenderizer gains an increased critical rate, a decrease in the reload speed and an increase to the rate of fire.
