"Venezuelan national turned CIA asset at 15; provided intel for US to launch in-country covert ops against AQ sleeper cells. Volunteered for US SOF training. Conducted clandestine ops for CIA until invited to WARCOM in 2017."
— In-game biography

Mara is a Warcom Operator of the Coalition faction featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. Mara was released with Season One as part of the Battle Pass.

Biography[]

Not much is known about Mara's early life in Venezuela. She was recruited as a CIA asset at the age of 15 and provided intel on Al-Qatala sleeper cells in the country.

At some point, Mara volunteered for US Special Force training. She continued working for the CIA and conducted clandestine operations until she was invited to join the Warcom unit of the Coalition.

On March 3, 2020, Mara was sent to Urzikstan by Lieutenant General Lyons to secure gas canisters from a crashed AQ helicopter shot down by Allegiance forces. Fighting broke out between Coalition and Allegiance operators over the payload.

Sometime after the invasion of Verdansk by Al-Qatala under the leadership of Khaled Al-Asad on March 3rd, 2020, Mara was deployed to Verdansk, Kastovia to intercept a container of ChemBio weapons. The container, however, was long gone and Mara and her team were soon ambushed by hostile forces from both Coalition and Allegiance. Mara managed to escape, but lost six of her men in the process.

Call of Duty: Mobile[]

Mara also appears in Call of Duty: Mobile and was added as part of the Season 10 The Hunt Battle Pass. [1] Mara has also a prominent role in the Comics as an operator of the United Anti-Terrorism Coalition.

Mara first appears after being contacted by Ghost after he extracts information from Viktor Reznov regarding the Nova Gas, being told to locate Makarov & stop him. Mara and her team (consisting of Golem, Otter and an unnamed Frogman) storm into Makarov's jungle base and ends up in a standoff with Mace, holding Makarov at gunpoint. Mace then betrays Makarov and kills him, escaping into an underground bunker and launching an EMP missile located in the bunker as Mara arrives with Soap's team too late.

Mara is later shown to have survived the EMP attack launched by the Five Knights, meeting Ghost and the rest of their fellow operators at the Club. She is introduced to Russell Adler by Captain Price, and is then inducted into the United Anti-Terrorism Coalition.

Afterwards, Mara is shown to launching an attack on the Five Knight's key locations, storming the command center in Alcatraz. In there, she personally confronts Hidora Kai. Her team finds the command center rigged to blow. Although Mara manages to snatch the laptop from Hidora, the explosives on the building go off and Hidora escapes, but Mara is trapped by the falling debris. It is later revealed that she managed to survive, but is in a coma as a result of the injuries she sustained.

While still in her coma, a guilt-ridden Ghost comes to visit her, expressing grief for not being able to save Tank during their assault in Hackney Yard, and then places his dog tags on her palm before leaving.

Some time in the future, Mara awakens from her coma. It takes her a year to get fit for combat again, after which she jumps back into action with Alex Keller. Upon receiving orders from Shepherd about Raul Menendez's location, the pair storms into a building, only to find Charly's squad members killed, and Charly badly wounded. Charly, as her wounds are being inspected by Alex and Mara, explains that Templar had eliminated her teammates and let Menendez escape. As Mara helps carry Charly with Alex, she laments that she has blown their chance at stopping Cordis Die. However, they tell Charly that they still have one last shot, revealing that they still have a captured Mace to interrogate. She is then shown to be bantering with Mace in his cell, stating if she really wanted to kill him, she'd be using a knife (or a cheese grater), making her intentions clear about interrogating him.

Mace retorts that he isn't going to talk, so Alex decides to read out his personal file in an attempt to get him on their side. Mace isn't convinced, leading to Mara telling Alex that they're wasting their time, until Alex says that they could make a deal, to grant Mace's freedom in exchange for helping them, which she is shocked by. Alex tells Mace that Shepherd will authorize his release if he agrees to help capture Menendez. He states that is the best offer he is going to get as he drops a Ranger badge at Mace's feet. After hesitating for a while, Mace agrees.

Alex and Mara are then briefed by Shepherd about the intel they've acquired from Mace, and that they're to infiltrate the Raid, as this is where Menendez is operating. He states that since Price and Soap are occupied elsewhere and that Cordis Die may have hacked their computers, this is their last chance of capturing Menendez and that Alex and Mara will need to work fast as it is an off-book operation.

As they infiltrate the Raid, Mara still has her misgivings as to whether Mace can be trusted, but Alex says that it's their last chance and that they have no choice but to trust him. She then even contemplates shooting Mace as they have gotten what they needed, but is talked out of it by Alex, saying that is what Mace would do if he was in her position. The trio then begin the assault, taking out several guards in their way. However, Mara is ambushed by a guard who was in hiding. Before she could be shot, Mace unexpectedly pushes her out of the way and mows down the guard. He remarks on the effectiveness of his body armor and asks if Mara is good. She answers in the affirmative and they continue their mission.

Menendez in the meantime, attempts to exfil via helicopter after realizing Mace had turned on them. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't get far as Alex shoots down the pilot before he can take off, allowing Mace to apprehend him.

Following this, Mara is never seen again, aside from the fact that Charly states during the briefing by Shepherd and Price that she has went rogue to uncover what happened to Ghost.

At some point she was captured by the Five Knights and tortured to death. Her body was found by the UAC and Simon "Ghost" after the battle between the Ghosts and Rorke.
