The Marine Raiders is an infantry unit of the USMC featured in Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: World at War (Nintendo DS).

Call of Duty: World at War

Campaign

In Call of Duty: World at War, the American playable character, Pvt. C. Miller is a Marine Raider, only during the first mission. He is then transferred to the 1st Marine Division. The Marine Raiders are also a secondary protagonist throughout the World at War campaign.

Multiplayer

In Multiplayer, the Marine Raiders represent the American faction for the game. They are playable on the maps: Makin, Makin Day, Cliffside, Castle, Airfield, Courtyard, Knee Deep, Banzai, Sub Pens, and Battery. They only fight against the Imperial Japanese Army.

In multiplayer there are different skins available depending on which class of gun the player wields. If using an SMG, the player appears as a young marine with very light gear and no helmet. A rifleman appears with a full kit with Cartridge pouches including a backpack and a helmet. The skin for an MG is a lightly-kitted short soldier with a helmet. A shotgun-wielding raider will don a helmet and a small backpack. If the player uses a bolt action rifle, they will have a helmet, a decent amount of kit and camouflage along with some foliage; a primitive Ghillie Suit. If a Flamethrower is equipped, the skin will be that of a rifleman, but with a gas tank instead of a backpack.

The Marine commander in Multiplayer is Sgt. Roebuck voiced by Kiefer Sutherland.
