Private Massey is a Marine who appears in the Call of Duty 4 campaign.

Biography

U.S.M.C. Career

He is assigned to Lieutenant Vasquez's unit and serves as the breaching specialist. Massey assisted Lieutenant Vasquez and Sergeant Paul Jackson in clearing the OpFor headquarters building that was allegedly the location of Khaled Al-Asad, and helped to identify the bodies as not being Al-Asad. He then followed his companions from the building.

He is often killed whilst running to cover by the roadblocks in the campaign mission "Charlie Don't Surf".

Trivia

  • Massey is easily identifiable, as he is scripted to always appear in the mission "Charlie Don't Surf".
  • Sometimes there will be two Private Masseys in "Charlie Don't Surf".
  • Once in the building where he pulls out his shotgun, he can be killed by the player without having to restart, because he is scripted to die somewhere in the mission.
  • In the Wii version, Massey stays with the player until the OpFor Head Quarters building is reached.
  • Massey, along with SSgt. Griggs and Vasquez are some of the few people that cannot be killed in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but unlike them, he can be and usually is killed once the original building has been cleared.
  • He carries a shotgun on his back, much like Vasquez. However, as seen the above picture, he can use it (his other weapon will vanish).

  • On Recruit, it is possible to save him through the entire level, when the player reaches the TV station he will breach with the player and pull out his shotgun again while inside the building.
