Matvey Gusev (Russian: Матвей Гусев) is the secondary antagonist featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Biography[]
Gusev is a former Biopreparat scientist working for the Pantheon. He is the creator of Project Cradle, a virological hallucinogenic weapon. Gusev, at the request of Jane Harrow, turned The Cradle more dangerous, making test subjects more violent. At some point, Gusev fled from the Soviet Union to Kuwait, where he was hunted down by operatives of Rogue Black Ops. After attempting to escape, William "Case" Calderon would destroy his plane causing Case, Russell Adler and Lawrence Sims to seize him. After interrogation, Gusev nearly met his demise by Case before being stopped by Sims and brought into apprehension.
