Meltdown is a multiplayer map that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Meltdown is also featured in Call of Duty: Mobile when it was added in the game on March 26, 2020 as part of the Season 5 Steel Legion Update [1]. It is a nuclear power plant, located in Pakistan.
It features five main sections, the first two being the reactor chimneys, third and fourth being the two-story reactor controls, and the cooling fluid disposal area. The map encourages medium-range engagments overall.
Trivia
A pink box of donuts can be found in the building near the Militia spawn. This is a reference to "The Simpsons" due to the fact Homer Simpson works in a Power Plant and often eats donuts at his workspace.
A film poster with the title "Meltdown" and an image of one of this map's cooling towers can be found throughout the campaign. Like most film posters it contains developer references, in this case level designer Adam Hoggatt amongst others.
