Mike Yuan, also known as Jabber, is an Operator of the SpecGru faction featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
Biography[]
Mike Yuan has spent much more of his life abroad than he's ever spent at home, and that's exactly how he likes it. Born in Rhode Island, Mike Yuan's family is a Chinese immigrant family with a prosperous civil engineering firm. With clients around the globe, Mike Yuan alongside his family often traveled to oversee their largest projects; by the time he started middle school, Mike had spent eight years in six countries. He enjoyed the challenge of learning a new language quickly enough to make friends. His family moved back to Rhode Island for good when Mike started high school. He hated being stuck in one place for so long.
After graduation, Mike immediately enlisted in the military, thinking that it would be the easiest way to travel the world again. It's been fifteen years since then, but Mike doesn't regret his decision one bit. Making sure people understand one another on the ground saves lives - he's seen it. He's spent the past few years serving the Delta Force, working in counterterrorism and hostage rescue.
Between the soldiers he trains, the civilians he works with, the new locations he travels to, and the new languages he's tasked with learning, he hasn't been bored in fifteen years. Mike's words are his superpower - he's talented at getting people to talk with him and listen to him, and he can usually win them over quickly. For those he can't win over with words... there's combat, which Mike expertly maneuvers as he clearly and effectively communicates to his teammates under fire. Thriving under pressure and always eager for a new challenge or change of pace, you can always count on "Jabber" to tackle it head on.
