- "I can barely see the road, Sarge!"
- — Castillo driving the jeep under command of Sergeant Hawkins.
Private Miles "Manny" Castillo (also known as "Max") was an American soldier of the Fox Company and is seen in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. He was under command by Sergeant Hawkins on the level "An Easy Detail" in Mons, Belgium.
Biography[]
Castillo is from Sacramento, California where he was part of the JV basketball team. Although he was a bench player he was happy to be part of the team. At some point he signed up for the Army and he was assigned to the 1st Infantry Division. While it is unknown how long he was a part of Fox Company, Castillo was part of the patrol which was sent out to investigate the destroyed German convoy near Mons. He was one of the Jeep drivers and he complained about the lack of visibility. He is killed when a tree falls on the road in front of him, causing him to crash the Jeep into it.
Trivia[]
- He is one of the few characters to have a biography in the bonus content section of the game. This may imply that he was originally supposed to play a much bigger role in the game, considering that he has one line of dialogue, isn't directly seen, and other characters such as Mangin, Parker and Andy Allen play larger roles in the squad yet do not have biographies.
