For the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 map originally named Mogadishu, see Bakaara.

Mogadishu is a multiplayer map in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Nintendo DS) that is set in a desert city in the Middle East. This map is only available in multi-card play. Three main areas make up the map: the two spawnpoints, and the center of the map. The main road goes north to south, reaching both spawn points and the center of the map.

Tactics[]

On either side of the map, there is a side road leading to an elevated position, which is very useful in Team Deathmatch. It is possible to snipe from this position, though risky as the sniper will have to watch both the main road as well as the opposite elevated position. Assault rifles excel in any part of this map, although close quarters weapons such as submachine guns and shotguns can be useful in the narrow alleyways.

Trivia[]

  • There is a glitch in this map which will allow the player to shoot from inside a building whilst being invisible to other players. To kill the player, one has to enter this glitch himself, as from the outside of the building, the wall is solid.
  • This multiplayer map has the most glitches in the game.
  • Mogadishu is the capital city of Somalia. This is the first time an independent African nation is featured even though it is only a multiplayer map.
  • Bakaara was called Mogadishu in the pre-release media for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
  • There is a glitch where the player can shoot a wall and hit everybody.[source needed]
