Mounting is a feature in Call of Duty: WWII, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Warzone, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The player lays the weapon on a corner or flat surface to get less recoil and make their shots more accurate. In WWII, mounting can only occur when using an Light Machine Gun. In Modern Warfare, there are weapon challenges and camouflages that are based on Mounting. In Vanguard, there are instead Calling Cards that use the mounting feature for multi kills challenges.
In Call of Duty: Vanguard, players can mount and then move while staying mounted on a wall to get better angles on other players or escape to the sides when being shot at.
