"Don't ask, just drink it!"
— Can description

Mystery Perk is a Perk-a-Cola featured in the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Once obtained, it grants the player a random Perk-a-Cola that the player does not possess.

If the player drinks a Mystery Perk after obtaining every Perk-a-Cola in the game, it grants the player an Eternal Perk - allowing the player to hold on to a Perk even after being downed.

Overview[]

Mystery Perk[]

Unlike other Perk-a-Cola's, Mystery Perk does not have a machine and cannot be bought from Der Wunderfizz. Instead it can only be obtained through either T.E.D.D. Tasks, as a Main Quest or Easter Egg reward, or as a Widow's Lantern spore reward in Ashes of the Damned. Upon consumption it will grant the player a Perk that they do not possess.

As Mystery Perk's only effect is to grant another perk, it does not have any associated Augments, cannot be obtained from the Random Perk power-up, and never actually appears in the players inventory.

Eternal Perk[]

If players are currently holding every perk available in the game, Mystery Perk will automatically upgrade to Eternal Perk. Eternal Perk randomly makes one of the players perks permanent, allowing it to persist through downs. All Mystery Perk can acquired once a player has all perks become Eternal Perk cans.

Eternal Perks do not replace the “bleed out” perks; the perks players will keep or lose depending on how long it takes for them to be revived. This in turns allows players to be revived with more than 3 perks still equipped. There is no visual indicator that a perk is Eternal, players must either commit their loadout to memory or go down and lose their perks to see what remains. The Demonic Announcer does announce when an eternal perk is acquired however, and a pop-up appears on-screen.

Despite this behavior, Eternal Perks can still appear as bleed out perks and do not persist through death.
