Sergeant Newman (abbreviated Sgt. Newman in game) was a Marine seen in the level First to Fight in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Nintendo DS). He trained the player to use the binoculars to call in an airstrike on a T-72 tank. He was killed after enemies invade the Marine base; if the player kills all the enemies before they can kill Newman he will die regardless as he is scripted to perish.
