The Obscurus Altilium (also know as The Amulet) is an artifact featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies maps Citadelle des Morts and The Tomb.
History[]
In 1991, Edward Richtofen, Project Janus’s Director, paid the French Syndicate a small fortune to obtain the Obscurus Altilium in his quest to collect a Sentinel Artifact. They captured a demonologist, Gabriel Krafft, who was interrogated by Sergei Ravenov but never told the Syndicate how to acquire the Amulet hidden in the castle in which he was held captive.
After escaping prison with the help of William Peck and Maya Aguinaldo, Elizabeth Grey, Grigori Weaver,Mackenzie Carver and Oskar Strauss were sent by S.A.M., a Project Janus supercomputer, to the Principality of Avalon to obtain the Sentinel Artifact before Richtofen. The group of six made contact with Ravenov who decided to help them, pointing them to Krafft's location. They met with the Professor in the dungeon of the castle during a zombies outbreak. The demonologist told them that in order to secure the Artifact they first needed to find the Obscurus Altilium amulet. Their quest led them to obtain the amulet after defeating its Guardian. Alerted by Krafft, the crew rushed back to his cell with Peck and Ravenov where the demonologist was attacked by zombies. They arrived too late to prevent his death but he revealed that they had to go to a nearby excavation site with the Amulet to secure the Sentinel Artifact.
At the dig site, the amulet started channeling echoes of a 1908 unfruitful expedition led by Archibald Fotherington-Smythe to retrieve the artifact. The crew used the amulet to open a gateway to the Dark Aether Nexus where the Artifact was located. After the crew claimed the Sentinel Artifact , the Amulet merged with the Odin Artifact which started to glow purple.
Days later, the crew journeyed to a mansion in Liberty Falls with the merged artifact.
