The Oerlikon Cannon is a Swiss 20mm autocannon that appears in Call of Duty: World at War. It was used extensively during World War II as an anti-aircraft gun and is still in use today.
In Game
The Oerlikon Cannon was used by Locke in the campaign level "Black Cats," dual mounted on the chin turret of a PBY Catalina. The cannon has a moderate rate of fire and is extremely effective against the Japanese Zeros encountered during the latter half of the level. Like every gun on the Catalina, it can provide sustainers fire without the risk of overheating or running out of ammunition. However, the Oerlikon Cannon's cannot traverse as large a field as the M1919s mounted above it.
