Open Fire, also known as Infinite Ammo in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a power-up first introduced in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies. It gives all players an unlimited amount of ammunition in their magazine, allowing for a hefty amount of damage to be dealt without the requirement to reload or watch for ammo reserves.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare[]

Open Fire was introduced in Carrier and returned in Descent. Some weapons that only hold one bullet in the magazine can prove especially effective while active, as there is no reload, so weapons like the RW1 and MAHEM can fire significantly faster than usual. However, specifically the Blunderbuss and Crossbow still have to reload after every shot, although they still have the infinite reserve ammo.

Besides affecting handheld weapons, Open Fire also affects the XS1 Goliath's chain gun, rockets and homing missiles.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare[]

Infinite Ammo was introduced in Zombies in Spaceland and appeared in all subsequent maps. It appears as an Infinity symbol, with a bullet that fires from the symbol. When under effect, the ammo counter will turn into an Infinity symbol, to indicate the effect. The power up can also refill ammo clips, but with weapons like the R.A.W. Liberty and Modular Atomic Disintegrator, they refill the entire ammo stock, since their ammo is their clips. It lasts for more or less than 20 seconds but can be extended using Temporal Increase Fortune Card.

Picking another Infinite Ammo will refresh its time.

An Infinite Ammo power-up can be spawned with the Raining Bullets Fortune Card.

  • Despite reloading being redundant when under the effects of this power-up, it is still possible to reload by pressing the reload button if the player did not have a full magazine in their weapon when the power-up is picked up.
