Operation Red Circus is an optional side mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Plot[]

The group have tracked Major Vadim Rudnik to a remote Soviet base in the mountains of Uzbekistan. Mason and Woods are deployed for this mission as they're position on a ridge overlooking the base. Mason mark coordinates for Command to send an airstrike as they destroy the radio tower before heading down and find Rudnik while Woods provides overwatch, but they only have a limited time before Rudnik escapes. While taking out the Soviet soldiers, Mason searches the Motor Pool, Radar Station, and Fuel Depot for Rudnik. Once the last building is searched, Woods spots Rudnik as the target heads out the back and run towards another building. Mason finds Rudnik in the building and eliminates him and his guards. After taking a picture of a lifeless Rudnik, Mason throws a smoke grenade to mark the location for extract. As more Soviets arrive, Mason and Woods hold their ground while Command offers air support if they want it. The evac chopper lands at the extract point as Mason and Woods get onboard and leave Uzbekistan.

Selecting the Suspects with the Information[]

To choose the correct suspects from the review board, the player must use the Wrist Watch to see the dead drop list made by the agents, codenamed "Bearded Lady", "Strong Man", and "Jugular", from their recent location and date. Kraus's Notebook must also be used to see the payment that the codenamed agents recently paid or loaned by Kraus from their last known location and date as well. The Cassette must be used to hear the Soviet Man or read what he said as he uses pronouns to describe the codenamed agents.
