Intro

Arthur Kingsley, Richard Webb, Lucas Riggs and Polina Petrova are placed in a Nazi truck. Lucas blames their predicament and Milos Novak's death on both Arthur and Wade Jackson, with Richard vowing to kill Wade himself. Polina finds the bickering amusing, and reveals that she has crossed paths with Hermann Freisinger. Richard believes that Arthur will get the team out, Lucas is unconvinced but Richard tells the story of how he and Arthur first met.

Story

During the D-Day landings in June 1944, Arthur and Richard are part of a British paratrooper unit sent to sabotage the German fortifications at Merville. When they arrive, they are shot at and they jump out. Arthur's parachute is burned, forcing him to use his reserve chute and land in a river, losing his Lee-Enfield rifle. He avoids German patrols and, after witnessing another paratrooper get stabbed to death by a German, he kills the German and takes the Kar98k.

After making his way to a house where he kills some Germans, Arthur regroups with the surviving paratroopers, including Richard. Richard reports that their Captain is dead and suggests that they wait for some more survivors, but Arthur tells him that there is no time. Their argument is broken up by Thomas Jones and Richard reluctantly agrees with Arthur.

Arthur leads the squad in fighting their way to a German depot, where they take out several German MGs. They hijack a German infantry transport truck and make their way to the banks of Merville. There, Arthur formulates a plan to attack the German fortifications by rolling their stolen trucks down the hill to detonate the landmines, after which they will blow up the casemates and fire flares to signal the Navy to hold fire.

Arthur and Richard push their trucks into the minefield, blowing up the landmines. The British paratroopers charge through the German fortifications in full force. Clearing out the trenches and bunkers, as well as a pair of halftracks, they disable an MG nest before Arthur and another Phillip Evans enter the casemate bunkers. Arthur destroys the first casemate with thermite, then destroys the second with a bangalore. He and Phillip get to the top, only to find out that their flare is ruptured. The Navy opens fire on the banks and the paratroopers run for cover. Arthur finds a wounded Richard lying on the ground near a destroyed casemate and fires Richard's flare. Seeing the flare, the Navy ceases fire and Allied troops are now moving in from the beaches.
