- For the remake in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, see Rupture.
Outskirts is a multiplayer map in Call of Duty: World at War. It is set in the European theater and is quite large. It has a "partially ruined city" setting and thus is fairly urban, however, it is very dynamic, and has many interesting features, such as a dried-up stream with a bridge. It also contains two tanks that can both be found on the Wehrmacht spawn side of the map. There is also a church in the middle of the map, and most of the intense battles are fought around there.
Trivia[]
- This map was created by Certain Affinity, though all creative and art directive came from Treyarch.
- This map is not available on the Wii version of the game.
- If one stands near the church, a ghost will sometimes throw rocks at the player.
- One can hear crows and other birds singing but strangely no birds can be seen in or outside of the map.
