The P-51 Mustang is an American single-seat long-range fighter produced during World War II. The P-51 saw service with various Allied air forces in the North African, Mediterranean and Italian theatres, and saw limited service against the Japanese in the Pacific Theater.
In Call of Duty: World at War, P-51 Mustangs appears during the latter half of the Pacific campaign. P-51s can be first seen "Relentless", when a flight of low-flying Mustangs provide close air support to the Marines by bombing Japanese positions. They are also seen in "Breaking Point", flying overhead just as the level begins and then at the end of the mission, when Private Miller must call in airstrikes on a Japanese counterattack.
