===Campaign===
The PP90M1 first appears in  "[[Hunter Killer]]", where it can be found with or without a [[Red Dot Sight]]. It can also be found with a silencer. It is also found in the mission "[[Turbulence]]", carried by [[Inner Circle|Makarov's men]] and the [[FSO]] . It is also seen wielded by [[Russian]] forces in "[[Mind The Gap]]", "[[Goalpost (mission)|Goalpost]]", and [[Africa Militia|African Forces]] in "[[Back on the Grid]]" and "[[Return To Sender]]". Is it also seen on floor rarely by the fallen [[GIGN]] Soldiers in [[Bag and Drag]].

===Multiplayer===
The PP90M1 is available from start in the Grenadier default class, but is not unlocked until level 28.

At any range short of fifteen meters, the PP90M1 will deal 42 damage per bullet, needing three shots to kill. Damage decreases linearly until 18.75 meters. At any range beyond 18.75 meters, the PP90M1 will deal seventeen damage per bullet, needing six shots to kill. The PP90M1 has a three shot kill range of 16.2 meters, a four shot kill range of 17.5 meters, and a five shot kill range of 18.3 meters. In [[Hardcore]] game types, the PP90M1 has a one shot kill range of roughly 17.8 meters. The PP90M1 deals 50% more damage with a [[headshot]], and a headshot will usually ensure that one less shot is needed to kill. The PP90M1 has poor [[Surface Penetration|penetration power]].

The PP90M1 fires fully automatically, with a fire rate of 1016 RPM.

The PP90M1 has recoil values of 65 to the left, 65 to the right, 60 upwards, and 45 downwards. The PP90M1 has a centerspeed value of 1650.

The PP90M1 allows users to move at 100% of the base speed, or strafe at 80% of the base speed. The PP90M1 allows users to aim down the sight in 200 milliseconds, and the PP90M1 has good hip-fire accuracy. The PP90M1's reload animation is 3.03 seconds long, or 3.97 seconds long if the magazine is empty. The user can [[Reload Cancel]] the PP90M1 after 2.06 seconds. 

The PP90M1 has a magazine capacity of 36 rounds, and a starting ammo loadout of 108 rounds.

The PP90M1 has the standard assortment of SMG attachments and weapon proficiencies available to it. All work as intended on the PP90M1.

The PP90M1 is also available as one of the loadouts in [[Infected (gamemode)|Infected]] where it has the [[Kick (weapon proficiency)|Kick]] proficiency. The first infected will also receive a PP90M1. However, it will have Range and Extended Mags equipped.

===Survival Mode===
The PP90M1 is available in [[Survival Mode]] at level 38 and costs $2000. The PP90M1 is also used by [[Chemical Agents]]. Because of its rather high damage up close, high fire rate, and decent amount of ammo, it is an effective weapon in close quarters combat. [[Sleight of Hand]] is a necessity for its long reload time.
