Flight Officer Paul VanAtta was an 8th Air Force airman. He was featured in Call of Duty: Roads to Victory.
Biography[]
He started off in France and was later transferred to Kent, England. Paul served as the nose gunner of the B-24 Liberator callsign "Lucky Thirteen". On the 17 of September, 1944. his unit was tasked to bomb the town of Nijmegen. When the bomber reached the skies of the Netherlands, Paul destroyed a batch of anti-aircraft balloons. Shortly after that the bomber unit made contact with the Luftwaffe. Paul's crew suffered heavy loses during the mission but their mission was a success.
