Private Pavel Semenov (Russian: Павел Семенов) was a young Soviet soldier who served in the 13th Guards Rifle Division during the Battle of Stalingrad.
Biography
He served in Lieutenant Dimitri Volsky's squad and fought alongside Private Vasili Ivanovich Koslov . He would have been just like any of the other numerous Soviet soldiers Vasili fought alongside with were it not for the fact that he and Lieutenant Volsky seemed to know each other. When Pavel appears to break under pressure during the encounter with a Panzer II amongst the rubble of the apartment buildings, Lt. Volsky tries to calm him down by saying, "Keep it together, Pavel!" Pavel was further singled out by Volsky when under fire by an enemy sniper in the dilapidated city hall, he was chosen to bait the enemy sniper so that Vasili could take him out. Afterwards, Pavel joins in the defense of the City Hall against the numerous waves of the desperate Germans. During the defense of the City Hall, if the player does not protect Pavel, he will die.
Trivia
- Pavel can be heard screaming "This is suicide, we're next!" in the level Downtown Assault, although he is nowhere to be found.
