Plot[]
Captain Price briefs D Company about their top secret mission for the invasion of Normandy. While British, American, and Canadian forces land on the beaches, their eastern flank will be exposed to a German counterattack from Calais. The 6th Airborne Division's job is to capture and hold a series of bridges east of the beachhead. D Company must secure the bridge at Bénouville over the Caen Canal. In a nighttime glider assault, D Company will land in a field east of the bridge, rushing the pillbox with suppressive fire from Sergeant Evans's Bren gun. They will then secure the west end of the bridge, and defend it until relieved hours later.
Sergeant Evans and his squad begin in a Horsa Glider, flying over Normandy just after midnight. Though one of the two pilots has trouble locating the Bois de Bavent, the glider reaches its destination and plows into a field near Bénouville. In the rough landing, Evans is thrown forward, slams his head against the console, and is knocked unconscious.
He wakes up in the field with Price and the rest of D Company, who are getting ready to assault the bridge. The Germans, playing loud music, are unaware of the British soldiers' presence. Price orders Evans to suppress the bunker with his Bren while the squad flanks and captures it. Multiple German MG42s open up from the pillbox, but the British capture it, securing the eastern edge of the bridge. Evans, Price, and the others charge across the bridge, coming under fire from Germans defending the town on the west bank of the canal. Suddenly, a Panzer IV tank appears on the road to the west, firing its machine gun. Evans regroups with Price, who orders him to find Private Mills, the engineer, and take him back across the bridge to use a FlaK 88 gun against the tank.
Evans and Mills cross the bridge under fire, and Mills works on the gun to fix it up. Once it is complete, Evans uses the gun to destroy the tank. With the tank destroyed, the British soldiers eventually clear the area of Germans. Both ends of the bridge are now secured.

Trivia[]
- Music is playing near the bunker, though it immediately ends with a record scratch when the player opens fire.
- Two Germans near the pillbox are having a unique conversation, similar to the Germans in the bunker in Pathfinder. However, this can only be heard if one uses the command "notarget".
- The Horsa Gliders display a prominent "NO SMOKING" sign on their doors.
