Call of Duty: Black Ops II[]
The 2025 Cold War between the United States and China was caused by a massive cyber attack that crippled the Chinese Stock Exchange by hacked U.S. military drones controlled by Raul Menendez. China also acts as the leading nation of the Strategic Defense Coalition, a military-alliance opposed to NATO. Based on actions David Mason performed during Dispatch, China could either be a friendly or hostile nation towards the U.S. determined by the fate of General Tian Zhao.
China also appears in Zombies as Die Rise takes place in Shanghai.

The battle between Ghosts and the Federation takes place in the multiplayer map Dynasty as a feature of the Nemesis DLC pack.
