Plot[]

Hidden in a freight train, Arthur Kingsley, Richard Webb, Polina Petrova, Wade Jackson, Lucas Riggs, and Milos Novak assault a second freight train bound for Hamburg, Germany, eventually clearing the two trains of German troops. Lucas demands to know the purpose of their mission, and Arthur responds that the Special Operations Executive handpicked them to uncover a Nazi project named Project Phoenix, but they do not know what the project is about. Polina asks why not send a regular army if it is that important; Arthur replies that they are the army, to which Lucas remarks that they are not from the same continent. Richard explains that this is a butcher-and-bolt operation unsuitable for regular troops.

Wade brakes the train to a stop at the German submarine base where the documents for Phoenix are supposedly located. They fight through the German armada and reach the main office, only to find it deserted. They deduce that only a small clique of Nazis are overseeing Phoenix and split up; Arthur, Richard, and Novak infiltrate the submarine while Wade, Lucas and Polina guard the exits.

Once inside the sub, Arthur and Novak find a box containing the Phoenix documents, however, they and Richard are ambushed by Germans before they can move the box. The three, together with Lucas and Polina, are captured and brought before Hermann Freisinger, the man overseeing Phoenix.

Freisinger is fascinated by this multinational team, especially by its leader being a black British man. Arthur explains that he studied at Cambridge and goes on taunting Freisinger and that the Allies are invading the Reich. Freisinger is not amused, and bludgeons Novak to death with a chair. He orders the others to be taken away.
