A timeline of events in the universe of the Call of Duty: Mobile comics.

World War II

  • Viktor Reznov is sent to retrieve Nova 6 gas from the Germans. His team launches an assault on the base. Despite the overwhelming gunfire, Reznov manages to survive the slaughter and enters the facility, encountering the gas. After executing all of the scientists in the facility, he retrieves gas canisters before the Soviet hide them in bunkers.

Cold War

  • Russell Adler leads a small team of CIA agents into a Soviet facility in Siberia along with his friend Stansfield. They discover crucial intel within the facility. However, upon extraction, their helicopter is threatened by a Russian soldier wielding an RPG, Stansfield sacrificed himself so that Adler could escape, who could do nothing but watch in horror.

Modern Times

  • Ghost intercepts a group of mercenaries hiding in a shack in the desert. After disposing of them, him and a team of Rangers enter the shack's basement equipped with Hazmat suits. They are ambushed by other mercenaries before entering a lab where the find scientists that were executed by the Mercs. Makarov appears on a TV screen revealing that he has ordered the execution to avoid the team interrogating the scientists. Marakov remotely releases radioactive gas which kills the Rangers. Ghost manages to escape and runs outside only to witness the launch of a multitude of nuclear missiles.
  • Ghost and "Tank" Dempsey arrive in a destroyed city looking being ordered to find a "target". They are then ambushed by a Merc. After Tank notes that there was no tactical advantages Ghost uses a mirror from a broken car to pinpoint the location of the Merc and shoots him down. Tank identifies the LMG the merc was carrying as something that would have been supplied. Ghost then identifies a nearby Gulag as the duo's next destination. Upon entering, they encounter Mace, Krueger and two Mercenaries. After a short skirmish, Ghost chases Mace into the prison cells where the latter have a fight. Mace then retreats after being shot at by Tank who mentions that Krueger also managed to escape. The two then descend down a staircase and encounter an elderly Reznov. Reznov, after a brief standoff between the soldiers, decides to inform Ghost and Tank of his assignments. He tells them that he was on a covert mission to a secret facility belonging to the Germans, and his struggles to complete said mission. Reznov then reveals that he is one of the few people who know where the bunkers are.
  • A group of Coalition soldiers consisting of Golem, Otter and an unnamed Frogman lead by Mara are traversing through a jungle. They witness Makarov entering a truck and driving towards a bunker. They follow the convoy and engage an assault. Mara runs into the bunker but is intercepted by Mace. She avoids Mace and holds Makarov hostage. To her horror, Mace shoots Makarov in the head and runs away. After meeting up with the other operators and informing them of Mace's escape, and she then discovers a hidden hatch underneath the floor. and the team goes through it to discover an EMP missile. However, it launches before they can defuse it.
  • Disappointed with the recent mission failure, Ghost contemplates of how they gathered next to no intel about their enemies. Mace in disguise attacks a building with his team of mercenaries then goes to Alcatraz to meet with Hidora Kai. The two discuss on a plan which and agree to work together. The EMP missile, now in space dismantles itself, revealing a satellite inside which disables all electronic devices in the world, including military radio towers, communication centers, Mara and Soap's convoy and even the plane Ghost and Tank were flying in. Ghost and Tank survive the crash and head on to the coordinates received. They find themselves in a room called The Club where they meet with Mara and Captain Price. Captain Price then introduces the group to Russell Adler and officially inducts the operators into the United Anti-Terrorism Coalition.
  • The group agrees on a plan to attack their enemies. Before leaving, Captain Price gifts Ghost a new balaclava which the latter accepts and wears. They split into multiple groups attacking certain areas. Mara's group attack Alcatraz. Ghost and Tank attack Hackney Yard and Price and Soap go to an unmarked location where they are ambushed by Templar. Tank enters one of the buildings and is ambushed by Mace. Mace quickly headbutts Tank and uses both of their weapons to execute him in front of Ghost. Mara confronts Hidora, and her team realizes the place is rigged to blow. Soap and Price to coordinate a takedown on Templar, but it fails, with Templar throwing a knife into Soap's chest. Although Price and Templar enter a standoff, Templar notes that Price's pistol might not be able to penetrate Templar's armor, and the fact that Soap doesn't have long. Reluctantly, Price decides to save Soap while Templar escapes. Eventually, Alcatraz is blown up, and Hidora escapes in the chaos. Mara, trapped inside the building, hopes that Ghost and the others completed their mission as the building collapses on her. Ghost, enraged, proceeds to beat Mace up, but refrains himself from simply shooting him.
  • In the aftermath, Ghost, Price, and Adler discuss the aftermath. With Mace and Makarov either apprehended or dead, only three of the Five Knights remain. The men go over the injuries their teammates suffered, most notably Mara in a coma, and the men note that she may never come out of it. Ghost finally finishes with "We won a battle, I'm going to win the war." Ghost feels guilt over the inability to save his teammates and embarks on a solo mission. Price asks the now recovered Soap about his whereabouts but the latter has no idea either. Adler then appears and informs the two that he "has gone to do something very stupid". Ghost arrives via Snowmobile at the Soviet base Adler told him about and begins to investigate. He finds that someone has been here recently as he finds still warm soup and a map which is dated around the present. He is then startled by a voice saying: "The enemy of my enemy....is my friend". The speaker is revealed to be Makarov. Ghost is surprised as Mara had witnessed his death. Makarov explains that Mace also saw him die but "appearances are deceiving" and that he needed to fake his death since their goals were diverged. Makarov also states that he knows that Ghost has arrived to seek information on how to defeat The Five Knights and that he not only has it, but will also provide it if Ghost takes him in. He then says that the Knights consist of 5 individuals with different goals but could be useful to each other as he was useful to them. They attempt to leave but are intercepted by Templar. After a short but in vain fight, Templar emerges as the victor and comments that he expected a more equal individual, but got nothing but a "Ghost". He then takes Ghost's mask as a souvenir and leaves.
  • Somewhere in a cemetery, "Tank" Dempsey is being cremated. His funeral is being overlooked by three men, who are revealed to be Edward Richtofen, Takeo Masaki, and Nikolai Belinski. As the world falls into a state of chaos, Atlas Corporation steps in for rescue and relief work. All of a sudden, the whole infrastructure is hacked by Cordis Die. Price and Soap arrive at the Soviet base, with Price commenting on Ghost's rashness. Soon after beginning the search though, they find a folded piece of paper on the bloodied ground, and Price remarks that Ghost "..might have been foolish to come alone", but "..wasn't wrong about it being important." When Price opens the paper, he finds Ghost's dog tag in it. It is then revealed that Makarov took Ghost's body, as he is seen dragging it towards a cliff. There, he rendezvous with a team of Ghosts led by Captain Merrick, and hands them over Ghost's body in exchange for a suitcase.
  • Sometime in the future, Mara awakens from her coma. It takes her a year to get fit for combat, after which she dons on her 'Awakening' uniform and jumps back into action. At some point after, Mara meets up with Alex Keller and a few other operatives. Alex then gets a call from General Shepherd, stating that Charly's team has confirmed that Raul Menendez is in the building they're on but have lost contact and requires him to enter the building immediately. The two operators then rappel down into the building. There, they encounter Charly, who tells them about her failure to capture Menendez and battle against Templar. Afterwards, Alex and Mara travel to a prison where Mace is being held and convince him to help the UAC locate Menendez. From there, Shepherd gives a briefing regarding Menendez' whereabouts, and Mace is able to apprehend Cordis Die's leader personally.
  • Elsewhere, Templar is summoned by the Fifth Knight to give a report on locating Makarov. Templar is told that Makarov is no longer a priority and that he has a new assignment for Templar to complete.
  • In Mexico, Soap rendezvous with a DEA/CIA agent named Rosa well known for her work against drug cartels in the region. After introducing themselves to one another, Soap offers Rosa a job - working alongside the UAC.
  • After being apprehended, Menendez is taken to a prison, where he is interrogated by General Shepherd and Captain Price. While interrogated, Menendez reveals that Hidora Kai has returned to Tokyo to try to rebuild the Five Knights, and that Templar has been dispatched to Texas to find what Ghost missed. The remaining UAC operators hold a mission briefing, where Price states that Rosa, Charly, and Mace will be accompanying Price's team to Texas, while Soap and Alex would be dispatched to Tokyo to apprehend Hidora.
  • Soap and Alex successfully apprehend Hidora and leave Tokyo, but Price's team is ambushed by Rorke, Templar and Cecilia "Dame" Perrin in Texas. Adler meets up with Captain Merrick on the Ghosts ship, and reports about Price's radio silence. The pair also visit the German Shepherd Riley. Rorke interrogates the defeated UAC team about Adler's location, only for the latter to show up with an apparently alive Ghost and Riley. Meanwhile, as Shepherd interrogates Hidora, Vagr Modir and her armada of battleships ambush Soap and Alex's team in the sea, but her fleet is decimated by the Ghosts' ship. Templar, Dame and Rorke are forced to retreat, while Vagr Modir rescues Hidora and regroups with Rorke, who heads to Panama.
  • Rosa is sent to Panama to recover intel on the Five Knights, and in the process fights off Rorke's Panamanian arms dealer friend Rott. She is successful in her mission and exfils with Ghost's help.
  • Hakan "Demir" Pala meets with Price, after he resolves a hostage situation. Price offers him a job for the UAC, which he accepts. Meanwhile, Templar turns on Rorke after being persuaded by Dame to do so, and is joined by The Dark Covenant, consisting of Dark Shepherd, Witch Doctor, Anna "Artery" Buckler, Kryptis and Stansfield. Rorke is killed by the Dark Covenant.
  • With the intel received from Rosa, the UAC are dispatched to Blackout to take down the bulk of Five Knights stationed there. Gary "Roach" Sanderson joins them on their mission, along with 30,000 of Shepherd's US Marines. Templar betrays his Dark Covenant comrades, killing Dame (although she survives later) and defeating the rest of its members. Ghost finds out from Templar that Adler is the 5th Knight, while Hidora Kai is slain by Price. As Adler tries to explain his actions to Ghost, Price discovers a countdown timer. A nuclear missile is launched onto Blackout, killing all of the 30,000 men.
  • Ghost remembers that Adler mentioned |Hudson during his explanation, and is tasked to look into it. He discovers that Stansfield, Adler's operator friend from the 80s, is still alive, through Reznov. Stansfield is revealed to have founded the Dark Covenant after a failed attempt to brainwash him by Dr. Friedrich Steiner in Vorkuta. Ghost seeks out Templar, who intends to rescue his daughter Sophia from the Dark Covenant. They methodically hunt down the Dark Covenant members, and is told that Stansfield has Sophia in Alaska. Following this, Templar and Ghost embark on their mission to Alaska, with Soap, Alex, Sliver, and Vagr Modir accompanying them.
  • Krystof "Firebreak" Hejek ambushes the group when they arrive, but Ghost and Templar manage to get past him. Alex loses his leg in battle, while Soap, Sliver and Vagr Modir continue battle with the Dark Covenant soldiers. Templar finds Sophia and rescues her, while Ghost finds Stansfield and kills him. As they make their way outside, Nikto arrives to provide exfil, but Templar helps up a wounded Vagr Modir instead of joining him. Ghost turns on them, killing Vagr Modir and gravely wounding Templar before departing. Sophia tries to get her father to bring her to Paris, but he collapses midway and dies in her arms.
  • Vladimir Makarov participates in a heist at the Hacienda, but his heist is interrupted by Dame, who's apparently still alive. Dame decides to help Makarov instead of killing him.
  • Price, Ghost and his newly formed Task Force 141, consisting of Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, Charly and Alex are sent to a mission in Lisbon, where Nikto has apparently held a group of civilians hostage. Their mission goes wrong, and Ghost ends up confronting Cipher, whom he apparently recognizes. Unseen to them, Foxtrot is also on site, having spied the operators.
  • Gunzo negotiates an arms deal with Nikto, who later kills him and his colleagues after tricking them with a 'payment' of Nova Gas. Meanwhile, Cipher is escorted to a hospital by TF141, with Foxtrot following discreetly. Gaz reveals that Lisbon attack was orchestrated by a group called "The People's Covenant". However, Cipher reawakens while in the hospital, and attacks the doctors. When a group of suited agents claiming to be from the UAC arrive to "collect the rogue asset" Cipher, he fends them off. After a brief confrontation, Cipher is sedated by Foxtrot, disguised as a nurse, and he is later dragged away on a gurney, bound to be escorted to a black site in Morocco. Ghost decides to let the agents take him, but insists on following them.
  • Charly and Alex are reassigned to Miami to look for Nikto, while Price, Ghost and Gaz arrive in Morocco with the UAC agents, along with an unconscious Cipher in tow. They are joined by Roach and Farah Karim, who help in escorting them to the black site. The convoy is ambushed by Phantom as well as Spectre while they're en route. Foxtrot aids in defeating Phantom, while Spectre escapes after engaging in a duel with Price. Foxtrot reveals to Price that Cipher is her brother.
  • Foxtrot reveals her past to Price, and reveals that Cipher went missing while he was on a UAC op. In her search, she found he was being part of a human trafficking ring Ortelius, who had experimented on soldiers with cybernetic enhancements and other black box military hardware; she had found out this information while on mission in the Congo Basin with her friend Rampage. Foxtrot believes that Ortelius is a part of the People's Covenant, and they don't yet know who they work for. However, the plane they are on is soon targeted by Nikto and his squad of fighter jets. He shoots down their plane, but Price and Foxtrot (carrying a still-unconscious Cipher) survive.
  • Makarov, along with Freya "Wraith" Helvig and Sophia, who is now an adult, meet with an Ortelius representative who is accompanied by Nyx and Kryptis, who's apparently still alive. When Kryptis taunts Sophia about wearing her father Templar's mask on her uniform, it results in an altercation between them, which later escalates into a brawl. Makarov reveals he has the representative's family hostage, and he orders Kryptis and Nyx to stand down. Ether is revealed to also have been searching for the representative's family in Zurich, and is shocked to discover Makarov's involvement.
  • Atlas Corporation introduces New Vision City. Ether consults with Alias about Atlas's Division A, and sends her to spy on them. Gaz and Alex are sent to recover Price's team in Morocco, but are ambushed by Sparrowhawk. Nonetheless, they manage to recover. Meanwhile, Hidora Kai is revived by Ether, who had apparently kept him in a simulation to keep him from atrophying and spare him from painful rehabilitation. After being kitted with a new outfit, he is tasked to kill Makarov. However, his mission takes a left turn, as he is misled by a decoy; it's revealed to be a trap set by Dame, and she takes out Hidora.
  • During a briefing at the Tel Aviv UAC base in Israel, the officials brand Cipher a terrorist and his sister Foxtrot a terrorist sympathizer, and prioritizes the apprehension or termination of Cipher. However, the UAC operators are less than convinced, with Tempest dismissing the notion of Foxtrot being a terrorist. In addition, Keegan informs them that the People's Covenant's sites he was sent to investigate hadn't been active for a year. Alex deduces that Cipher and Foxtrot have sensitive information the someone doesn't want them to know, and they must find them ASAP.
  • Atlas Corporation arranges a meeting with Makarov which he agrees to. Sophia and Wraith warn him that they're most likely doing it on the pretext of wanting to kill him, but Makarov decides to take the meeting anyway. They soon arrive at New Vision City, with the aid of the Ortelius representative they met earlier. Makarov kills the rep after revealing he had set his family free. However, Samael soon arrives, forcing Makarov's group to hide.
  • Dark Shepherd meets with Cipher at New Vision City, who apparently has Foxtrot held as a hostage. Initially taking sides with Cipher to get back at Atlas, Dark Shepherd is soon betrayed by him, and they engage in a fierce duel. Foxtrot is released from her binds and defeats Dark Shepherd. Concurrently, Makarov's group set explosive charges all around New Vision City, and they infiltrate Atlas' secure digital archive room.
  • Cipher soon makes a broadcast from within New Vision City, where he reveals the People's Covenant is actually a creation of Atlas, having funneled resources to the human trafficking organization Ortelius and funded terror so that they could swoop in and clean up the mess for a tidy profit. Ether is alarmed by the broadcast, and sends security to take him out. During the debacle, The Director reveals that this was all manufactured to result in the downfall of Atlas' board. He reveals that the Iron Will, the artificial intelligence that his Division A had built, had been feeding the board's greed. Ether soon realizes that he's planning a coup, to eliminate the board.
  • Following Cipher's broadcast, the UAC task force is dispatched to New Vision City to reign in Cipher and Foxtrot. Makarov and his group soon set off the charges they had placed around the city, reducing the landscape to rubble. Atlas, perceiving the UAC to be attacking them, launch the Sky Carrier.
  • During the attack in new vision city, Atlas Corporation sends Alias to find orbital rangefinders at 3 different location which is used by rogue element of UAC to destroy Atlas skycarrier with Spectre. Spectre kills some UAC soldiers in front of Alias(Including the wounded soldier she is trying to help) which makes her really angry and gone rogue from Atlas Corporation.
  • Cipher and Foxtrot are eventually found and taken into custody by the UAC. Spectre confronts Makarov and his group, engaging in a fierce battle with them. Spectre cuts off Makarov's arm, but is temporarily repelled by Wraith. An orbital strike severely damages Atlas' Sky Carrier and it is forced to crash land; in the ensuing confusion, Ether slips away, but doesn't escape the Director's notice; the UAC departs New Vision City, as do Sophia and Wraith with a wounded Makarov in tow.
  • Shadowfall and her client Mr Wong are ambushed by Sparrowhawk while in his office. They attempt to flee, but are quickly surrounded by more Sparrowhawks.
  • Makarov has trouble adjusting to his new bionic arm. Sophia complains that they still haven't found Ghost, but an infuriated Makarov tells her to stop leeching off other people's efforts and work for herself, causing Sophia to leave him and Wraith. Sophia later finds Dame in her dorm room, to her chagrin. Dame taunts her about having returned to Alaska and not having found 'a body', but Sophia furiously dismisses her from her room, though not before Dame tells her to check the news. Sophia is shocked to find out that Vikhor "Stitch" Kuzmin had captured a chemical factory belonging to Atlas Corporation, the self appointed "Eagle of the Steppes" pledging Western Purge of Central Asia.
  • The UAC has disbanded, with Alex having been honorably discharged. Alex returns home, but finds his house had been broken into. He is soon ambushed by Spectre.
  • Sophia discovers Ghost's location from the Atlas archive and attempted to hunt him down. However, Ghost found Sophia first, and instead of fighting, they talked about what happened in Alaska. Ghost apologized to Sophia for abandoning her, while also advising her that vengeance doesn't bring about peace. He instead tells Sophia to find "the one who wields the weapon", while referring to himself as a "weapon".
  • Alias is hiding out in the ruins of Las Vegas along with her friend Deadman as well as Ether. They are soon found by The Marshal, who is seeking to collect the bounty on Alias' head. The Marshal is subdued and his posse is apprehended by the group. Ether is soon contacted by Cipher, who's in Chicago, and they head there.
  • Sophia travels at the Kazakh/Georgian border to enlist in Stitch's army, to seek answers as per Ghost's suggestion. Despite Dame mocking and deriding her, she proceeds to try and enlist anyway. When she attempts to join Stitch's army, the men laugh at her. In response, she breaks the pinky finger of one of the men making fun of her. Wraith whisks her away to get her out of trouble, and tries to convince Sophia to rejoin her and Makarov to find Ghost, but she reveals she has already found him. After hearing out her explanation, Wraith agrees to help Sophia find the answers she seeks; the man whose pinky finger Sophia broke later confronts her, only for her to kill him.
  • Naomi "Manta Ray" Mizushima is at sea when the research vessel she is on, the Heikagani, is targeted by Atlas Corporation planes; missiles fired from them hits the Targonite-3 deposits located in the thermal vents underwater; the resulting explosion destroys the vessel, but Manta Ray survives, despite the news report stating there were no survivors.
  • The Director meets with the Kurohana delegation, consisting of Kestrel and Dusk. He welcomes them to Atlas Corporation's corporate family on their behalf, but personally doesn't trust nor welcome them. Kestrel inquires the Director about the Iron Will, which he later produces answers for, in the form of promotional images of Kestrel during a board meeting. Kestrel is wary about the Director's actions, but decides to play along for the time being.
  • Kestrel is revealed to have been behind The Director's accident 4 years before the New Vision City incident, where he was driving in the Swiss Alps talking to Dr. Mendelsohn. When Dr. Mendelsohn refuses to go along with the Director's plan to introduce the 'Omega Protocol' for the Iron Will, he fires her. At that moment, Kestrel shoots out the Director's car's tire, causing it to crash and result in the Director sustaining burn scars on his body.
  • Ether, Alias and Deadman soon meet Cipher at The Club, who gives them intel on Atlas and Spectre's special armor. Nyx makes her presence known, and Ether realizes they've been made, so they attempt to leave. As they're leaving however, they are ambushed by a camouflaged Spectre. Cipher prevents Spectre from killing Ether but is knocked aside, so Deadman engages Spectre instead. Spectre rips off Deadman's arm in battle, but Alias disorients him long enough for them to escape. Shadowfall later arrives to assist them.
  • Sophia and Wraith infiltrate a meeting with Stitch and Templar's Shadow. The meeting turns out to be a trap, and Wraith is revealed to be working for Stitch. When he reveals his plan to her, Templar suddenly appears, killing Stitch's men with throwing knives, to Sophia's shock. The two Templars engage in a fight, while Dame rams a cargo truck into the warehouse that Sophia and the Templars are in. Wraith is killed by Sophia for her treachery, and Sophia reunites with her father.
  • Stitch is tied to a truck driven by the Couteaus and is driven out of the city, despite being pursued by Stitch's men.
  • Edouard reveals that he had faked his death due to the Tontine, a fellowship of Five Knight Templars, holy warriors of a righteous crusade; but in reality, they were merely thugs seeking fortune in their holy land, and used the wealth to buy their way into power; the Tontine used that power to crush the order they belonged to, erasing their own names from history, becoming invisible and worming their way into courts and churches to extend their influence of Christendom. Edouard reveals their own family was a part of the Tontine too; Gideon Couteaux, who was their mightiest of the Five Knights, their leader and their most devout. However, his fellow knights turned on him out of fear and jealousy, so Gideon fled to save his life and his line--Sophia and Edouard are his descendants, who are now being hunted by the Tontine.
  • Flamewing is approached by Dark Shepherd to hunt down the Couteaus, which she reluctantly agrees to. She manages to track down and ambush them in the forest the Couteaus are hiding in, but is killed with the combined effort of Sophia and Edouard. Edouard decides that they are not safe there, so they decide to go to a place where their family has hidden for the centuries; Gideon Couteaux had apparently taken the Tontine's greatest treasure with him when he fled and hid it away in the French Alps, where the Tontine will never find it and they will do everything in their power to get it back.
  • In Tokyo, a man named Jun Takeshi is being taken to a harbor to be executed by a man named Goro, who works for Rin Yoshida. However, before Goro can execute him, Nyx appears and subdues Goro's men, before giving Takeshi a pistol to kill Goro with. Takeshi warns Nyx about Rin Yoshida's hunt for him, but Nyx assures him she is there to give him exactly what he wants.
  • Alias brings Shadowfall, Rampage, Foxtrot, Deadman, Ether and David "Section" Mason to meet with Frank Woods in Michigan. While Frank Woods serves them food, they discuss the ongoing situation around Atlas Corporation. Woods christens the group 'The Phantom Corps', while Alias advises them that they need to give Deadman a complete overhaul as his cybernetics have worn down and will kill him if they're not replaced.
  • Kestrel is revealed to have been behind the Director's accident four years ago in the Swiss Alps, and is ordered to seize control of the Iron Will and see to its destruction.
  • Satsumebachi's contract with Kurohana Corporation is cancelled, leading to his expulsion from their ranks. He is contacted by Takeshi and Hidora Kai, who plan to seize control of Kurohana by force. During this time, Rin Yoshida undergoes a training session overseen by Tiangu. Her training session is halted when Hidora Kai, Nyx and Takeshi infiltrate the Kurohana building thanks to Satsumebachi's aid, and Rin orders her agents to gather her troops to face them. Nyx and Takeshi's soldiers neutralize Rin's security detail, while Hidora defeats Rin in combat. However, Sparrowhawks arrive to assist Rin, taking out Hidora's troops and forcing him to retreat. Sparrowhawk declares to Rin that they have chosen different paths, and deliver a message from the Phantom Corps.
  • Rin Yoshida notifies Dusk of the recent developments, who then delivers the message to Kestrel. Kestrel deduces that the Director is behind it, and Dusk expresses concern about them being surrounded by enemies. Kestrel decides to bide their time until they have a chance to strike back at Atlas.
  • Section and Alias go to Manitoba, Canada to find Dr. Mendelsohn. Although ambushed by her advanced Reaper trap, the pair is let into Dr. Mendelsohn's house after she recognizes Alias. She learns of the Phantom Corps' plan to stop the Iron Will, but she reminds them that the Director has given it control over its "off-switch", so there's no way of shutting it off; and even if there was, there is only a slim chance of it happening.
  • Dr Mendelsohn tells them of an island on the Aegean Ocean, where Atlas has a hidden laboratory by the name of Memnos, and that could be one of the places where Alias could gain access to the Iron Will, to find a way to bypass the AI's predictive model and evade its notice. Atlas is said to host an annual gathering at Memnos for the world's most powerful figures, and Dr. Mendelsohn decides to go after having turned down the Director's previous invitations to the event.
  • Edouard brings Sophia and Dame to Turkey, where they are planning to meet with "other Couteaus". Edouard explains that this particular individual had cut herself off from her family to wage war on the Tontine alone. That individual is revealed to be Death Angel Alice, who eliminates a squad of soldiers that had been hunting.
  • Urban Tracker gets ready for a Halloween party in Japan. As she's talking on the phone, she is suddenly approached by Manta Ray, who asks for her help.
  • Dr Mendelsohn infiltrates the event on Memnos Island, accompanied by Ether and Mason posing as her bodyguards, while Alias, Woods and Cipher monitor their situation. Thanks to Cipher's false identities given to Ether and Mason, they manage to be cleared by security to enter. As they make their way inside, they note the presence of other world leaders, as well as the Director himself. Dr Mendelsohn knows it's inevitable to have to talk to him, so she advises Ether and Mason to go meet with Kestrel and Dusk while she speaks to him.
  • Kestrel and Dusk escort Ether and Mason into the underground facility where the secondary access point to the Iron Will lies. They plan to rejoin the party after allowing Cipher to establish an uplink to the Iron Will. However, the Director catches them in the act, having insisted on escorting Dr. Mendelsohn on a tour of the place. The Director taunts Kestrel about her true allegiance to the Tontine, causing her to betray him and shoot him dead. However, the Director's death leads to the Iron Will being set free.
  • Kestrel betrays Ether's group as well, shooting Dusk before running away and causing the lights to go out. Mason contacts Shadowfall to help with exfil. Meanwhile, Tempest, who was on a virtual connection to the Iron Will, is awoken by Edward Richtofen as she realizes that the Iron Will had been set free. Tempest reports about the Director's demise, leading Richtofen to activate Lazarus. Ether and Dr. Mendelsohn tend to an injured Dusk, while Mason holds off Lazarus long enough for the rest to escape, though he is subdued and captured by Lazarus. Ether's group rendezvous with Shadowfall, while Kestrel herself escapes via helicopter.
  • Siren breaks free from her containment prison in a facility deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean, leaving a swath of bodies in her wake.
  • Death Angel Alice continues to take out many Tontine troops before meeting with Templar, Sophia and Dame. After a discussion between them, Alice agrees to bring them to the monastery where the Gideon Armor is kept, with Templar noting he knows the identity of a Tontine lord.
  • General Shepherd is revealed to be one of the Tontine lords, and he along with the Tontine's Four families scold Flamewing for taking on the Couteaus alone. Fiona delivers a message from Templar, who had let her live, to tell Shepherd he's coming for him. Shepherd makes plans for Tontine agents in France to be activated, so that they can reclaim the Gideon Armor as well.
  • Shadowfall is revealed to have convinced the Sparrowhawks to join her side a year earlier, and they are now aligned with Rin Yoshida, who expresses her gratitude. Rin is also revealed to have killed Jun Takeshi with a bottle of poisoned sake following his failed coup, and Deadman requests Rin to make him a new cybernetic limb.
  • Manta Ray and Urban Tracker infiltrate an apartment complex in Tokyo, looking for items that would implicate a geology professor following his disappearance after the Heikagani incident. The pair are soon ambushed by Dark Shepherd, but Urban Tracker manages to escape, though Manta Ray unfortunately is caught and subdued by patrolling guards.
  • Templar's Shadow and Kryptis rally Stitch loyalists to wage war on the Western Imperialism.
  • David Mason is placed in a simulation with Tempest, who is probing his memories to learn about the Phantom Corps. Edward Richtofen terminates the connection after Mason's memories decohere, and he and Tempest promise to continue the next day. As Tempest returns to rest, she spots a Reaper placing something at her doorstep--revealed to be a note with a chip on it, addressed to her by 'W'.
  • Sophia and her father are in France, headed to the Monastery. However, they soon notice they're being tailed by undercover agents, and take cover. The agents, revealed to be from Interpol, are ambushed and subdued by the Couteau pair. However, reinforcements soon arrive, forcing the pair to take a different route to the Monastery. Unknown and unseen to the pair, Nyx is spying on them, revealing there are Tontine agents on the ground holding up the local police, and she is instructed to keep Interpol off the Couteaus' backs so they can lead them to the Monastery.
  • While the Phantom Corps deliberate on their next course of action, the Iron Will, appearing in the form of the Director, manifests on their house's TV, informing them of the Tontine and their plans for world domination. As it proposes an alliance, hostile troops have the house surrounded with weapons ready. The Corps quickly arm themselves but are attacked almost immediately by Wicht Warden and his troops. Iron Will intercepts them and allows the Corps to get away.
  • Mason is freed from Richtofen's lab by Tempest. Tempest stays behind to delay their pursuers, while Mason makes way to escape via helicopter. Elsewhere in Central America, Demir and Killgore rendezvous with Ghost and Zoe Serrano, preparing to head to France.
  • Tontine troops led by Stitch launches a chemical attack on a city, and Shepherd gives a speech as a representative of Atlas Corporation about combating Stitch's forces. Meanwhile, in the mountains of France, Death Angel Alice and the Couteau family, with Dame and Stitch, meet with the members of the Monastery. Despite some hostility initially, they are let in. At the same time, Shepherd coordinates his next move with Nyx, sending Templar's Shadow and Kryptis to find the Couteau stronghold.
  • In Japan's Toyama prefecture, Rin Yoshida and Sparrowhawk are talking when they are interrupted by Hidora Kai calling them on a live video feed, taunting her about her enemies failing to kill her. His troops then fire a barrage of missiles at the side of the mountain, causing an avalanche that destroys the house Rin and the Sparrowhawks are in, as well as the village by it. The Sparrowhawks take out Hidora's henchmen, but Hidora takes out all the Sparrowhawks. Deadman, who emerges with new cybernetic limbs, defeats Hidora by slamming him to the ground, but he vows that it's not over.
  • Back in Michigan, Alias, Cipher and Rampage debate on their next course of action. Alias stresses the need for them to rejoin the rest of the Phantom Corps, as she suspects they are being played.
  • Shepherd is angered by the loss of Wicht Warden, and more so that the Iron Will managed to intervene. Placing the blame on Lord Gertrude, Kestrel's mother, Violet goes to fetch Kestrel a glass of water, but not before spiking it with something.
  • Ghost, Demir, Killgore and Zoe arrive at the Couteau stronghold, just as Templar dons the mythic Gideon armor after making it through the chapel of blades, with the armor healing his damaged eye. Just as Sophia checks on a father, Ghost enters, and is immediately attacked by Templar. Before Ghost can explain things, alarm is sounded as the Tontine troops arrive at the monastery.
  • Dame, revealed to be in cahoots with the Tontine, takes out the monastery's anti-rocket team, but is then attacked by Alice. Nyx's troops open fire on ground zero, wounding many of the monastery's defenders. Ghost, Templar and Sophia are forced to team up to deal with the Tontine threat.
