Prison Break is the fourteenth mission featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Plot[]
Soap and Ghost arrive at Alejandro's safehouse and once Soap enters, a laser was aimed at him as Ghost throws his knife towards the shadow figure, which turns out to be Rodolfo. With no clear answer on why Graves and Shadow Company betray them, Ghost makes it clear that anyone not with them now is considered a hostile - except for Alejandro. The three create a plan on breaking him and Los Vaqueros out of an old prison, now guarded by Shadow Company, as they bring in an armored vehicle, extra gear and guns for the breakout.
Soap, Ghost, and Rodolfo arrive and exit near the prison before moving towards a guard tower, where they take out several enemy patrols before making their way up the tower with a plummet gun and ascenders. The three go down the guard tower into the prison interior and head to the security room, where Soap kill two Shadows and found two CCTV security computers. Soap uses his CCTV computer to guide Ghost on planting several charges while remaining hidden from Shadow Company and Rodolfo uses his own computer to find Alejandro. After planting the charges, Rodolfo shows the location of Alejandro’s prison cell as he and Soap regroup with Ghost and head inside the cellblock building as the three fight their way to Alejandro.
After killing the Shadows, Ghost opens the door and Soap heads in, where Alejandro grabs and pushes him to the wall before he realizes who he is. The four then proceed to Los Vaqueros’ cells as Soap opens the doors and Rodolfo hands his soldiers the guns he brought before everyone fights their way out of the building as more Shadow PMCs and vehicles wait for them outside. Once the area is clear, the team heads to the courtyard and eliminate more Shadows before crossing over. As they approach the field, an enemy chopper flies over and fires at them. However, it’s shot down by Price as he's seen on top of the prison wall.
Soap, Ghost, and Alejandro head over and ascend to the top of the wall where they’re greeted by the Captain and Gaz before they engage Shadow Company while covering Los Vaqueros’ escape. After all the soldiers exit the prison, the team also escape as Alejandro and Rodolfo leave with Los Vaqueros while Soap and Ghost leave with Price and Gaz. As they explain about Graves and Shepherd's betrayal, Price tells Soap and Ghost the truth thanks to Laswell's help.

- The CCTV's overlay features the original Shadow Company logo on the top right of the screen.
- When Soap and his team successfully rescue Los Vaqueros, Price is seen shouting "WE ARE LEAVING!" which is a reference to the original John Price who helps up the original Soap MacTavish during the mission Crew Expendable in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and its remastered version.
- There was planned a multiplayer map based on this level. However, this was cut at unknown points in development.
