Pure is a game category in the barebones section featured only in Call of Duty: Black Ops that excludes Perks, Killstreaks, Attachments, Equipment, and Contracts. Therefore players may only use their primary and secondary (launchers, pistols and special) weapons, Tactical Grenades and lethal grenades. This mode somewhat resembles what the Call of Duty multiplayer used to be like in the original Call of Duty.
