Range is a multiplayer map that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified.
It is a small version of Call of Duty: Black Ops's Firing Range, with several sections blocked off. It is a medium-sized map with mostly close-range combat, with some medium-range combat in some areas.
The two-story building with a car being worked on in the bottom floor is a hot spot for firefights, and players come from all directions in an attempt to take it over. The bottom floor is more of a hot spot, but the top floor is generally what players fight to control. It isn't uncommon to see players using the opening to the outside on this floor to fire on players attacking from the direction it looks upon, and it is also not uncommon to see players sit on the staircase that goes between the two floors in order to protect this floor.
The area which the opening in the two-story building looks out to is also a common hot spot for combat, since it is open and is a pathway to the building. This area is the area which most promotes medium-range combat due to how open it is. There is also a very tight corridor which leads to this area, and it has quit a bit of activity as well. This area is close-quarters, so Shotguns and Submachine Guns will work well.
Leading up to another door to the two-story building is another tight pathway, which is less active, but well-protected if playing with veteran players who are protecting the building. If playing with players who do not know the game all that well, this can be a good flanking route to the building.
The rest of the map isn't very active, with little to no combat in every match, and is mostly only close-range combat.
