There was much speculation that he was the President of the United States, and that his crashed helicopter was that of Marine One (normally VH-3 Sea King or VH-60 Whitehawk, but technically "[[wikipedia:Marine One|Marine One]]" refers to any [[United States Marine Corps|USMC]] aircraft carrying the President) or Army One, which is more plausible, as the aircraft bears the insignia of the 23rd Infantry Division.

The theory of Raptor being the President was largely dismissed when Corporal Dunn says that he hopes "they" got out of the presidential bunker in time, which most likely includes the President. Also, none of the soldiers have a strong reaction to Raptor's presence, which would be unlikely if he were the President. And due to the fact that if he was the President then it most likely would have been stated. Also, if the President was in Raptor's position then all units in the area regardless of their status would likely have been deployed. However it is plausible that Raptor could be the codename of Vice-President which would explain the urgency of the rescue.

Raptor is the codename of a highly important person in "Wolverines!". He is seen unconscious after his helicopter was shot down. The insignia on the nose of the crashed helicopter that Raptor was presumably being transported in appears to be the shoulder sleeve insignia of the 23rd Infantry Division of the United States Army. His attire includes a suit and tie. Although never identified as such in-game, it is assumed he is a high-level US government official or perhaps a General who was off duty at the time of the attack. At one point of the mission the player has to defend Sgt. Foley as he carries Raptor to a meat locker for protection, which is then locked and made inaccessible for the rest of the level.

Trivia

  • Raptor can generate with and without a short beard and trim. Most of the time he is clean shaven.
  • There is a person walking through the Museum while the credits roll that has the same face as Raptor.
  • It seems that Raptor regains consciousness upon being transferred to the Burger Town meatlocker, as his eyes open and he appears to move.
  • Oddly, Raptor is never seen brought out of the meat locker together with Sgt. Foley's squad when they regroup at the convoy.
