Red Light, Green Light is a limited-time multiplayer game mode featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It was added on January 3rd, 2025 as part of the Season One Reloaded update and remained in the game until the launch of the Season Two on January 28th, 2025.
Overview[]
The game mode takes place on the map Red Card, within the stadium area, and is played from a third person perspective. All players start on one end of the stadium, while on the other end, two Masked Managers and a Young-hee animatronic stand watch. When the game starts, Young-hee will begin singing "Mugunghwa-kkochi pieot-seumnida", and players can proceed to move toward her. When the singing ends, Young-hee will announce "Red light!". Any players moving or using the in-game voice chat will be immediately shot and terminated, and are forced to either spectate the rest of the match or quit. After some time, Young-hee will announce "Green light!" and the remaining players can proceed to move again. The singing can be at various different tones and pitches, meaning players need to listen carefully for when it ends to stop and avoid being eliminated.
Across the stadium path, players can collect piggy bank drops to increase their score. Several spawn on the field in each round, and dead players may drop piggy banks as well. Starting on round 2, blue envelope pickups can be found across the field, containing a Knife that a player can use to eliminate other players during a Green Light phase.
Once a player reaches the finishing line, they will spectate the remaining players until they all move past the finishing line or die, or the timer runs out. Afterwards, a new round will begin with the surviving players. The game continues until one final player stands and is declared the winner.
