Even if the player uses Rejack, dying will still reset their streak and it will count as a death, as will any death after Rejacking. Likewise, kills still register for the enemy even if the player Rejacks from it. When a player has the option to Rejack, their body is surrounded by green smoke. They are invincible during this time, but are fully vulnerable after Rejacking. It is best to use Rejack when the enemies are unaware of the player's ability to Rejack, where they can catch them off by surprise, while it is ill-suited to use it if the enemy has spotted the green smoke and knows to prepare.

Using Rejack can help you unlock Dark Matter Camo, as the Chameleon camo challenge for 5 kills without dying doesn't reset when you rejack.

The subject of this article appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
"On death, an injection floods Nomad's body with a nanite serum capable of rapidly reconstructing damaged tissue and organs."
— In-game description.

Rejack is a specialist ability in Call of Duty: Black Ops III for Nomad. It allows Nomad to revive himself on the spot when killed. Unlike other Specialist abilities and weapons, Rejack cannot be used at will; instead, the option to Rejack will be given when the player is killed (unless killed by a Specialist weapon) if the meter was filled. When the player dies, they will see Nomad look at the heartbeat monitor on his left wrist, with the pulse rapidly going towards zero. Before it reaches zero, they can Rejack, which will lift Nomad on his feet with full health, or they can die, which will leave the player with 75% of the refill meter. There is an animation of one second after Rejacking where the player cannot use weapons and is completely vulnerable.

Even if the player uses Rejack, dying will still reset their streak and it will count as a death, as will any death after Rejacking. Likewise, kills still register for the enemy even if the player Rejacks from it. When a player has the option to Rejack, their body is surrounded by green smoke. It is best to use Rejack when the enemies are unaware of the player's ability to Rejack, where they can catch them off by surprise, while it is ill-suited to use it if the enemy has spotted the green smoke and knows to prepare.
