The Relic Mirror is an artifact featured in the Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies map Shi No Numa, where it is assembled during the Main Quest. It is able to be used to separate an Elder God from their human host.

History[]

Creation and Splitting[]

After having her memory wiped by Kortifex the Deathless, Saraxis the Shadow invented objects capable of allowing Dark Aether entities to bond with human hosts, forming a symbiotic relationship. Saraxis first did this on one of the most remote islands on feudal Japan, where she was worshiped by the locals who built a shrine in her honor. This became an annoyance to her former husband, who contacted the keepers of the shrine and told her that Saraxis was a threat to their feudal lord, who she had bonded with. He then built and gave them the Relic Mirror to separate Saraxis from her host. When Saraxis later returned to the shrine, she was met by many priests with the relic who used it against her. Afterwards, the Mirror was split in half, with the two halves being sent "inbetween" the Dark Aether and the mortal realm.

Restoration[]

Later in 1944, Allied Special Forces were sent by Professor Gabriel Krafft and various other entities (including Saraxis) to the site of the altar, which was now being used as a Die Wahrheit outpost in the Okinawa Prefecture. It was there that they managed to find and restore the Relic Mirror, with the intent of separating Kortifex from his then human host, Die Wahrheit leader Wolfram Von List.
