Private Rickerson was a member of the Able company, 1st Infantry Division who fought and died at Aachen in 1944. While he and Private Johnson were running on a big open street, they were killed by an MG42 gunner as Cpl. Church ordered them to stay behind the tanks. It is impossible for the player to save him, as he is scripted to die. Rickerson carried an M1 Garand.
