WASF. SOCWA-A Eyes Only. Encryption #6-BRAV0-6-5-2-0-6-9. OPERATIONAL PROTOCOL: Interrogation. Mission Status: OPEN. Day: 4. Priority one - interrogation of HVI - Dr. Salim. Imperative to secure him before Stone. Following the INTEL leaks from Singapore, WA Emergency Security comms protocols were enacted - At this time we remain cut off from Command. En route to Cairo, we got word that local Egyptian Army Forces had successfully secured the HVI for interrogation. Local EA CO on site, Lt. Zeyad Khalil, coordinated the effort. Recent events have highlighted the undeniable fact that Hendricks is deeply unsettled by this mission, and his emotions are starting to affect his performance in the field. Nowhere was this more apparent than during the interrogation of the HVI. Though Doctor Salim did reveal additional information relating to the SP/CORVUS project, Hendricks grew visibly aggravated throughout his questioning - and came close to breaching our operational mandate. Hendricks' erratic behavior did not go unnoticed by our LNO. Privately, she confided that certain information had been withheld from our initial briefing - Specifically that Stone's team had been marked for termination immediately following their discovery of the SP/CORVUS project and their threats to go public. It was Kane that personally called in the CIA Black Bag team to terminate the team upon their return to the Black Station. When their efforts failed - we were called in with the same purpose. Given recent events, I have decided that this information should continue to be withheld from Hendricks. During our interrogation, the NRC launched an assault on Ramses Station. The attack involved a large scale ground force - a multilateral coordinated strike - targeting strategic weak points in the defenses of the FOB. The NRC’s effort was primarily directed at disabling the Egyptian Army's DEAD systems; in order to enter airspace unopposed. The precision of the attack suggests that they were acting on INTEL procured through the CIA and WA leaks released by Stone. Further collusion with the NRC is implied by the fact that Stone and his team used the distraction of the assault in order to breach Ramses Station and capture our HVI Salim. In the wake of the battle, we began preparations to abandon the FOB in order to pursue Stone and the HVI - via the tracker I had place on him prior to the interrogation. Knowledge of the tracker was initially withheld from Hendricks - a fact which in retrospect appears has only to have furthered his suspicions regarding my relationship with the CIA. Tracking signal pinpoints Dr. Salim in TAI “Kebechet", formally the Garden City District of Cairo.

Plot[]
The Player, Hendricks, and Kane are now on their own and they arrive at Ramses Station, where Dr. Yousef Salim is alive and well as he is held by the Egyptian Army. The team met with Lt. Zeyad Khalil, as he remarks that the army won't be able to protect Salim for much longer. Despite the army being low with what they have, Khalil reveal that the DEAD Systems are what still keeping them here due to the Allied Drone Defense Act thanks to Raul Menendez. The team arrived at the interrogation room, with Hendricks performing the interrogation alone, but he didn't notice the Player putting a tracker in Salim's cup. The interrogation was aggressive from Hendricks and as he questions about the frozen forest, the Station was attacked. The Player and Hendricks fought alongside Khalil and his men to hold off the NRC in the Station, and then head off to the Eastern Checkpoint to detonate the streets to prevent the NRC from coming in. However, the NRC attacks Safiya Square to try and find another way in.
The two head for Safiya Square, however, this was a distraction by the NRC as Taylor's Team breach and capture Salim from Ramses Station. The two and the army fought their way to Safiya Square and as they held off the NRC, Taylor contacted Hendricks and the Player as he says that he and his team needs the doctor and questions why they couldn't just let them go.
After defending Safiya Square, more NRC VTOLs flew over as Kane alerted that the DEAD Systems are down. Khalil was aggravated at the team for losing Ramses and that the rest of Cairo will also be eventually lost. The Player told him that he needs to fight back, but Khalil responded that they (The Player, Hendricks, and Kane) don't know where Taylor's Team is. The Player ask Kane about the tracker, and she reveal that it's south of Kebechet. As Khalil hopes he's right to trust them, Hendricks questions the Player about a reason why he's now finding out about the tracker, going as far as accusing them and Kane into keeping secrets from him now. The Player told Hendricks that he hasn't right since the three left Singapore, which caused Hendricks to punch the Player in response. They explain that it's their call to put the tracker and now there's a chance to find Salim and Taylor. Hendricks helps them up and apologizes to the Player, stating that he's just having second thoughts about the mission due to it feeling wrong.
The Player was irate after learning from the dossier that Dr. Salim is responsible for creating that file and Project Corvus. After the Black Station, she, Hendricks, and Kane head for Ramses Station, where Salim is being held by the Egyptian Army as well as humanity's last holdout. The team met with Khalil again, who was tired of fighting a losing battle and what would come: Extinction. The DEAD Systems were the only thing left to hold off the Undead from taking Ramses. The team arrived at the interrogation room, with Hendricks performing the interrogation alone and the Player putting the Truth Serum in Salim's cup, as they wanted answers for Deimos' motives and how to stop him. Salim explains that Deimos' motives is to prepare his battle against his sister, Dolos. As for how to stop Deimos, Salim revealed that humans can't kill him, a god, and that the only way to stop him is to open the Gateway and send him back to Malum.
The Undead then attack the Station, as the Player and Hendricks fought alongside Khalil and his men to hold off the Undead, and then head off to the Eastern Checkpoint to detonate the streets to prevent the Undead from coming in. However, a scavenger blown a hole in Safiya Square for the Undead to find another way in. The two and the army fought their way to Safiya Square and held off the Undead and A.S.Ps.
After defending Safiya Square, more of the Vultures' VTOLs flew over as the team realize that the DEAD Systems are down. Khalil was frustrated for losing Ramses, but Kane revealed over comms that Sarah Hall has been located in Kebechet. Hendricks didn't want to hunt down Hall, and as the Player told Hendricks that he didn't have a say, Hendricks punches her in response. After she heard from Dolos that Salim's lying, the Player remembers what Hendricks had told her after he helped her back up: Reopening the Gateway would destroy the Earth, not stop Deimos, and that Salim was lying to them.Weapon Loadout[]
