"Back home, you wanna settle something, you do it head on. It's the only way to earn respect."
— Robert Zussman

Private First Class Robert Zussman is the deuteragonist in Call of Duty: WWII. He is the best friend of Ronald "Red" Daniels.

Biography

Robert Zussman was born in 1923 and raised throughout his childhood in Chicago. He is from a German-Jewish family. Consequentially, he was street smart. During his time in the army, he befriends Private Ronald Daniels during basic training. He also can somewhat speak German, thanks to his German-Jewish heritage.[1]

Campaign

He fights along side with Ronald "Red" Daniels throughout the campaign. In Collateral Damage, his platoon learns that he is German and that he can speak German. He is later captured in Ambush by German soldiers and Daniels tries to save him, but fails to save him. He is sent to a P.O.W camp and then sent to Jewish P.O.W Labor camp runned by Metz. In the Epilogue, he is rescued by his 1st Infantry Division platoon from being executed by Metz. He is seen badly beaten and malnourished. He is later seen recovering in a U.S. Army hospital and thanks Daniels for saving his life.

Gameplay

During gameplay, he can give the player health packs, which can be used to restore the players health when needed.
