Born in the Polish countryside, near Radom, Roland Kaminski and his family emigrated to rural France during Roland's childhood. While Roland loved France, he was often taunted that he would never be French.
Committed to join the French Army to be accepted by his peers, Roland studied diligently and joined one of France's most prestigious military academies. Although Roland excelled at the academy, he was still viewed as an outsider. Angry, Roland seeked advice to his parents who encouraged him to go somewhere he would be valued. The next day, Roland returned to Poland and joined the army before being selected for the GROM special unit.
Now a celebrated officer within the unit, where he is recognized as their best. As arrogant as he is talented, Roland believes the GROM will always need him.
