It is unknown if the official Russian Air Force sunk this ship not knowing there was an SAS special operations team on the ship or if it was Ultranationalist aligned Russian Aerospace Forces defectors, though the former is more probable given the nuclear threat. It makes its next and last appearance in the mission "All In" as MiG-29 fighters fly over the missile silo.

The Russian Aerospace Forces appear first in the campaign mission "Cliffhanger". Following "Cliffhanger" The Russian Aerospace Forces appear in the campaign levels "Wolverines!", "Exodus," "Of Their Own Accord," "Second Sun" and "Whiskey Hotel".
