Call of Duty: Mobile[]

"Semi-automatic sniper rifle. Deadly from the belly up."
— In-game description

The Rytec AMR returns in Call of Duty: Mobile. It was added in August 2021 as part of the Season 6: The Heat update.

Multiplayer[]

The Rytec AMR is a heavy semi-automatic sniper rifle that can kill from the stomach upwards, as the description says. This overwhelming damage makes the AMR much more forgiving than other snipers, as most snipers (barring the NA-45 and the DL Q33) will have to equip Stopping Power in order to achieve the same amount of damage. However, the AMR suffers from high recoil, although said recoil can be mostly negated with proper attachments, and from low mobility, and ADS times cannot surpass those of weapons like the Locus or Outlaw.

The AMR can also accept unique ammunition, the 25x59 Thermite Mag and the 25x59 Explosive Mag, which deal thermal damage, and explosive damage respectively, but both of these magazines decrease the maximum reverse amount of ammunition a player can have, increases the ADS time, decreases the firerate, and also removes the AMR's ability to wallbang.

Compared to other snipers, the Rytec tips more towards the true sniper role, where a player sits in a hard-to-spot area to provide fire support to those in the front-lines, but it does have some capabilities for mid-range and close-range, thanks to its higher-than-average firerate. Players using this weapon will be rewarded if they use it like a true sniper, but may have trouble when using the weapon aggressively due to its previously mentioned low mobility.
