Santa's Slayground was an event featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 available between December 19th, 2023 and January 3rd, 2024 during the Season One of Modern Warfare III.[1]

Multiplayer[]
Within Multiplayer, two maps join the rotation, those being Shipmas and Hangover alongside their respective 24/7 playlists.
Two new modes are also added, Snowfight and Infectious Holiday. Snowfight will see players going head-to-head in Shipmas and Hangover while only equipped with Snowballs, which are located around the maps. In Infectious Holiday, players will be able play Infected with a Festive twist.
Zombies[]
Within Zombies, the players can hear a Christmas-themed music track when spawning into the map. Snowballs can be found around Operation Deadbolt, replacing any equipped Lethals. Zombies and other enemies can be seen sporting various Santa's hat, as well as Christmas wreaths. Hellhounds can also be seen wearing deer antlers with Christmas lights and decorations.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0[]
Within Warzone 2.0, Urzikstan has turned into a snowy landscape, now containing Christmas Trees, a Festive Train and Zombie Santa. Players also get to wield Snowballs, now added to the player's default loadout and located around the map. Players will also be able to play Slay Ride Resurgence.
Zombie Santa is a Minigun wielding Juggernaut who can be found once the player has captured a Christmas Tree. The player can then go through a Red Door portal, which will teleport them into the air overlooking a Stronghold site. In the site is Zombie Santa who the player must attempt to kill. After Zombie Santa takes damage, he will teleport to a different area of the Stronghold and spawn enemy Zombies onto the player. After killing him, Zombie Santa will drop his minigun as well as various other high-tier loot.
During the second circle, players will get to experience the Deer Hunt Public Event, in which Hellhounds will spawn on the map and players must hunt them down. After killing them, they will drop more high-tier loot. During the third circle, Zombie Santa will return, who now controls and stands atop of the Train circling Urzikstan. He will function like in the Stronghold, teleporting to different carriages on the train and spawning both Zombies and Hellhounds. After killing him, he will drop high-tier loot.

The event had a total of 7 challenges that could be completed in Multiplayer, Zombies or Warzone. Upon completion of either or sets of challenges the player would be awarded with the "Ugliest Sweater" DG-58 LSW Weapon Blueprint.

Trivia[]
- The Red Door portal is visually similar to the one featured in the campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as well as Verdansk '84.
- Krampus can be found sticking his arm out of the ground in Old Town. Interacting with the arm displays a message "Krampus is hunting you", and unlocks a secret challenge and calling card.[2]
- This Easter egg is a reference to the Festive Fervor event in Warzone, during which random players would be targeted by Krampus and they would see a similar message being displayed.
- The themes that play upon spawning in Operation Deadbolt during this event are the same ones used for the Jingle Hells mode.
- The Dark Aether zone in Zombies does not feature any Christmas-themed enemy designs.
