Santa Seña is a multiplayer map featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The map takes place in Las Almas on the border between the United States and Mexico. It is a Battle Map designed for Ground War and Invasion matches.
A Core Map version of Santa Seña, designed for 6v6 matches, is also available as Santa Seña Border Crossing. This version only features the central road of Santa Seña.
Trivia[]
- Before the release of the Season Four Reloaded update on July 12th, 2023, the cars and vehicles featured in Santa Seña Border Crossing could explode when damaged, killing players next to them. Following the update, the vehicles no longer explode.
- The American state police cars feature Arizona license plates, furthermore the internal name for the map is a reference to the twin cities of Nogales which are located on the border between Mexico and the state of Arizona.
- The infiltration cutscenes for both teams feature civilians fleeing from the highway, with the civilians on the SpecGru side speaking Spanish and escaping into the U.S. and the civilians on the KorTac side speaking English and escaping into Mexico.
- One of the RVs on the map has duct tape on its side door. This is a reference to the mobile lab featured in Breaking Bad.
