The Skull is a power-up in Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies on the map Dead Ops Arcade 2: Cyber's Avengening. It increases the damage and rate of fire on the player's curently held weapon. If the player collects a different weapon or drops the weapon they're currently holding, the power-up is lost. It takes the form of a red skull. There are two versions, a small one and a big one. When one is active, a red skull will be on the player's HUD, near the player's score counter. Collecting a big skull will upgrade the weapon even more, increasing the fire rate as well as the damage further, and will add a purple skull to the player's HUD.

At the first upgrade level, the player's weapon will fire red laser bullets and make a slightly different sound. At the second upgrade level, the weapon will fire purple laser bullets and sound like a Pack-a-Punched weapon. However, neither will actually change the weapon's appearance.


  • When using it in conjunction with First Person and a Ray Gun, the player will notice that the Ray Gun's bullets will still fire green rays as well as the red or purple. This is not noticeable when in the normal top-down mode.
