"Use sniper rifles, claymores and Predator Drones to hold off waves of enemies."
Spec Ops description

Sniper Fi is the second Special Ops level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in the Alpha group of operations. The objective is to hold off waves of enemies using all the weapons the player has at their disposal.

The Infinity Ward best time for Sniper Fi is 1 minute 55.5 seconds.

The mission takes place in the big area near the submarine in Contingency. The objective is to survive and fend off a certain number of waves with the weapons available. There are approximately ten to thirty enemies in each wave, and after killing all of them, the next wave starts in ten seconds. The player starts on the roof of a small building, with a Barrett .50cal sniper rifle and a Desert Eagle. There are also several weapons on top of small boxes on the roof as well as on the ground below. On Regular difficulty, the player is also given control of a Predator Drone before the first wave starts, while on Hardened and Veteran, the player must complete the first wave without it. The Predator Drone is highly useful, as it can be used safely from cover approximately every ten seconds, it has a very large area of effect and it can be used to destroy the enemy transports.

On Regular, the player must fend off three waves of enemies, including one jeep and one truck. On Hardened, the player must fend off four waves of enemies, including two jeeps and one truck. On Veteran, the player must fend off five waves of enemies, including three jeeps and two trucks.

  • Ghost will inform the player how far they have progressed through each wave, while Soap will inform the player when the Predator Missile is online.
  • The title, Sniper Fi, is a reference to the United States Marine Corps's motto "Semper Fidelis" (often shortened to "Semper Fi"), which is Latin for "Always Faithful".
  • The loading screen features a Spetsnaz trooper with an AK-47 fitted with an M203 grenade launcher. Although the only grenade launcher the AK-47 can have is the GP-25.
