In Call of Duty: WWII, Specialist was added in the United Front update. When equipped, Specialist allows the player select 3 Basic Trainings to earn instead of Scorestreaks, which are earned by obtaining the scores of 200, 400 and 600. When the player reaches the score of 800, they will receive all Basic Trainings in the game. Progress resets on death.

"Replace your Scorestreaks with 3 Perks. You earn them at 200, 400 and 600 Score. Earn all remaining eligible perks at 1200 Score."
— In-game description

Specialist returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 as a Wildcard.

Like in Call of Duty: WWII, it allows the player to replace their scorestreaks with three additional perks, which are earned by obtaining the scores of 200, 400 and 600. When the player reaches the score of 1,200, they will receive all perks in the game (with the exception of Tac Sprinter, which is not granted unless set as one of the perks in the player's loadout or earned through scoring). Progress resets on death.
