Spiders are an enemy type that appear in the Zombies modes of Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
In Black Ops III, they appear in the maps Dead Ops Arcade 2: Cyber's Avengening, Zetsubou No Shima and Revelations. In Black Ops Cold War, they appear in Dead Ops Arcade 3: Rise of the Mamaback.
Overview[]
They have the ability to shoot webs at the players, as well as be able to use their webs to cover up Perk-a-Cola, GobbleGum machines, and pathways, though the player can easily slash through them by holding the use button, or tossing a grenade directly onto the webs, which will stick and cleanse them on detonation. They are needed for building the KT-4 weapon, where the player needs to extract their venom by trapping a Spider in the cage that can be lowered, located at Lab A. They primarily spawn on a Round dedicated to them usually on Round 6, but this can also be Round 5 or Round 7. When the last spider is killed, it will drop a Max Ammo. Upon killing a Spider, the player will always receive 50 Points, while non-lethal hits will not reward any Points. They can also naturally spawn by standing near the cave behind Lab A in Zetsubou no Shima after killing the Giant Spider, and become semi-regular enemies all over the map starting with Round 21.
Spiders also have a hidden Wonder Weapon associated with them in Zetsubou no Shima, Spider Bait. It allows the player to completely protect themselves spawn and control a Spider for a limited time, shooting fully automatic webs at zombies that can kill even into high rounds.

Trivia[]
- If any zombie tries to walk through a spun web, it will get stuck and have webs swirling around it, similar to the effect of a Widow's Wine grenade, and the zombie will eventually die.
- The spiders will put webs only on perks found outside the bunker, except for those that spawned via airplane.
- In code, they are referred to as "Spiders from Mars".
