The Switchblade X9 is a submachine gun that was added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with the Operation Grand Heist update. It is described as a suitcase weapon used for heists due to its folding and compact design.

The Switchblade X9 is a five-shot kill at close range, but will drop off to a nine-shot kill at longer distances. Paired with the weapon's low magazine size, the Switchblade X9 is very ineffective at mid-to-long range engagements unless the player's target is weakened. However, the Switchblade X9 can be quite effective at close range due to its fast fire rate, which can be increased with Rapid Fire and Rapid Fire II.
