"The rate of fire with this gun in the game is inaccurate because when on full-auto selection, it first fires a two-round burst at 1,800 rpm, then cycles down to 600 rpm." (Trivia) Isn't this exactly how the gun DOES work, according to the opening paragraphs? 82.95.227.251 13:25, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
BO 2[]
it also appears in Black Ops II, it can be seen in the trailer if you look carefully... check this if you doubt. Arcee95
It looks more like an AK-47 to me. Scoutrooper1 21:29, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
Look at a picture of an AK, a picture of an AN-94, and look at the final part of the gun in the picture ;D Arcee95
Both the AN-94 and AK rifles do bear similarities from a glance, but once can clearly see the AN-94 barrel clearly visible in the image, which is completely different to that of any AK-47, which has the main barrel below any extra additions. I can understand the confusion, unless you've played one too many games with an AN in it, you probably wouldn't notice. It takes a real professional in gun-nerdism to tell the difference from a picture like this, that, or google. GroverA125 16:55, May 23, 2012 (UTC)
Or the fact that, at first, it looks like it has no iron sights. XD - BURNBAG 83!! 19:46, July 21, 2012 (UTC)
Real life magazine capacity[]
In real life AN-94 uses the 30, 45 and 60 round AK-74 magazines, but a 40 round ProMag magazine is also compatible.
